The three-year-old son of Hinchinbrook bows out of racing with a record of 11 runs for six wins, two seconds and a third for $1,832,275 in prize money.
Prior to that his autumn was made up of a first-up win in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m), second to Le Romain in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) and third to star stablemate Winx in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m).,
Press Statementâs career on the turf is highlighted by his two elite level wins.
The first as a two-year-old was in the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m) last June in Brisbane before his Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) success in the spring last October.
He makes a very valuable stallion prospect for the 2016 season, Vinery Stud yet to confirm his first season service fee.
Peter Orton from Vinery said the interest was very high and the team were likely to announce the fee on Wednesday.
The weekendâs All Aged Stakes winner English meanwhile is set to make a raid on the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival this season.
She is being aimed at the weight-for-age $750,000 Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) on May 28 before a shot at Queenslandâs richest race, the $1.5 million Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 11.
Current pre-field Stradbroke Handicap odds at Ladbrokes.com.au are still led by Malaguerra ($4.60) despite the Lee & Anthony Freedman-trained Magnus four-year-old running sixth in the All Aged Stakes.
English is rated a $7 hope, equal with the Darren Weir-trained All Aged Stakes runner-up Black Heart Bart.
Rounding out the single figure hopes and hot on Malaguerraâs heels is the Ciaron Maher-trained Queen Of The Turf Stakes winning mare Azkadellia ($4.80), Maher after a second win in the race after the success of fellow mare Srikandi 12 months ago.
